Forum: etree Subject: Good 'AC/DC'-ish rock and roll on archive.org?

I searched for old forum posts and found only a few posts that I had made in regards to good rock and roll... But anyway, I was hopeing there was a band on the archive that had a good 'AC/DC' sound .. just great rhythum with a backing drum beat and great loud electric guitars... anyone? .. 'Mara' is a female led band that sort of is getting what i'm looking for, but i'm looking for a male vocalist and more rock ... any suggestions? ... I guess a good example is the track: "Master Exploder" from this recent tenacious D show I taped:

http://www.archive.org/audio/etree-details-db.php?id=29944&from=browseRecent

thanks for any suggestions!

edit: just for anyone else reading this .. here's a similar post from August: 'Looking for harder rock' .. but those bands just weren't what I was looking for ... :-/

Check out Hayseed Dixie. They certainly do a fair share of AC/DC covers.

The phrase "good AC/DC sound" hits my brain the way "jumbo shrimp" does...

Anything by Johnny Crash, some Krocus (Playing the Outlaw, Long Stick Goes Boom etc.)all of Rhino Bucket.

I made a CD called "Bands that wish they were AC/DC" once. Pretty cool CD.

None of these bands are represented here, however.

Hmmm....

RANA, maybe. They're pretty much straight-forward guitar rock, though considerably less heavy than AC/DC.

Try Trainwreck -- good versions of An American Band and TCOB out there
